The soft, faded cap that already looks like you have owned it for years. Pigment-dyed and garment-washed in 13 colors, then embroidered with whatever you want on the front. What you can put on it

The front panel takes roughly 10 cm of embroidery. On washed colors, tonal thread — a shade or two off the cap itself — reads softer than white and is what most people end up choosing.

• A name in script or block lettering, the most common request by a long way.
• A phrase or an inside joke, up to around 14 characters a line.
• Initials or a monogram for something quieter.
• A logo or small illustration — upload it and we turn it into stitch data for you.
• A wedding date, a trip year or a place name under a title line.

The cap

• 100% cotton, specially washed. The wash is what gives it the faded, slightly uneven colour — tones vary from cap to cap, and that is the design rather than a fault.
• Soft, unstructured crown — the low-profile dad hat shape that sits down on the head instead of standing up off it. It fits like something you have owned for years, from the first wear.
• Curved visor with embroidered ventilation eyelets.
• Antique metal buckle back strap, adjustable. One size, unisex.
• 13 colors: Washed Navy, Burgundy, Mustard Yellow, Denim Blue, Hot Pink, Sage Green, Coral Red, Terracotta, Khaki, Forest Green, Dusty Pink, Dark Brown and Washed Black.

Ordering a set

Washed caps photograph beautifully as a group because no two fade identically, which is why these go out most often in sets — bachelorette parties, girls’ trips, bridal showers, small teams and studio merchandise. Mixed colors in one order cost the same as matching ones. Bulk pricing starts at 50 pieces, and you can ask for a quote with your quantity and text.

Stitched, not printed

Every cap is embroidered to order on a commercial machine. The thread is laid into the twill, which is why the lettering catches light from the side and why it survives the wash — printed vinyl cracks and lifts after a season, embroidery does not. Raised 3D puff lettering is available on request for block text.

Nothing is stitched until you order, so there is no leftover stock and no compromise on what goes on the front. Production takes 1–5 business days and delivery 1–5 business days.

Looking after it

Hand wash in cool water and reshape while damp; a washing machine will flatten the crown and a dryer will shrink the twill. Never iron directly over the embroidery — press from the inside if you need to. Washed colors may release a little dye the first time, so wash them on their own to begin with and keep them away from anything pale.

Questions we get asked

Why does the color look uneven?
Because of the special wash the fabric is finished with, which is what produces the vintage look. The variation is the product, not a defect, and it differs slightly from cap to cap.

Will the color run?

Can everyone in a group have different text?
Yes. Order one line per person and put each name in that line’s personalisation box — there is no extra charge for different text on each cap.

Is it structured or floppy?
Unstructured and soft. It sits down on the head like a classic dad hat rather than standing tall like a trucker cap.
