High-density embroidery on cotton twill — thread laid into the fabric, so it survives the wash instead of cracking off the way printed vinyl does.
Crossed rackets, a city, a club. The classic collegiate tennis cap — cream thread on Navy Blue, structured crown that holds its shape on court and off it. “Manhattan” is a placeholder: put your club, your city, your court or your own surname there instead.
What you can put on it
Script line of roughly 12 characters with a spaced block line underneath. Crossed rackets can be kept, replaced with your own crest, or removed for a text-only cap.
- Club name and the word TENNIS — the standard build.
- A city or neighbourhood for something that reads as a place rather than a team.
- A family surname, which is how these end up as gifts.
- A court or country-club name for member merchandise.
- Your existing crest, uploaded and digitised free of charge.
The cap
- 100% cotton gabardine — a heavy, close weave that holds its shape all day and gives the needle something firm to stitch into.
- Structured five-panel crown. The front stays flat, so lettering sits square instead of buckling the way it does on a soft cap.
- Curved visor with stitched detail along the brim and embroidered ventilation eyelets.
- Metal buckle back strap, adjustable. One size, unisex.
- 11 colors: White, Beige, Camel, Olive Green, Denim Blue, Royal Blue, Navy Blue, Grey, Burgundy, Red and Black.
Club and member orders
The structured crown is the one clubs pick for resale — it stacks and ships without creasing and it looks the same on the shelf as it does on a head. Typical runs are pro-shop stock, member welcome packs, coaching-team kit and tournament gifts. Bulk pricing starts at 50 caps, mixed colors included. Send the wording and a quantity for a quote and a stitched sample.
Stitched, not printed
Every cap is embroidered to order on a commercial machine. The thread is laid into the twill, which is why the lettering catches light from the side and why it survives the wash — printed vinyl cracks and lifts after a season, embroidery does not. Raised 3D puff lettering is available on request for block text.
Nothing is stitched until you order, so there is no leftover stock and no compromise on what goes on the front. Production takes 1–5 business days and delivery 1–5 business days.
Looking after it
Hand wash in cool water and reshape while damp; a washing machine will flatten the crown and a dryer will shrink the twill. Never iron directly over the embroidery — press from the inside if you need to. Washed colors may release a little dye the first time, so wash them on their own to begin with and keep them away from anything pale.
Questions we get asked
Structured or soft?
Structured. The front panel stands up and stays flat, which is what keeps script lettering from buckling. Our washed dad hat is the soft alternative.
Can I have my surname on it?
Yes, and it is one of the most ordered versions — a surname on the script line reads as a family crest rather than a team cap.
Does the cream thread work on light caps?
Not well. On White, Beige or Camel we would use navy, black or burgundy instead, and we will flag it if your choice will not read.
Is it suitable for actually playing in?
Yes — cotton twill, curved brim, adjustable strap. It is a playing cap, not a display piece.
