Tennis Academy Hat | Custom Embroidered Cap with Club Name & Est. Year

Name, founding year, arched over crossed rackets. The academy layout — green on Burgundy here, but the arch works in any two-color combination we carry. Built for coaching programmes, junior squads and anywhere that wants its year on the front because the year is the point.

What you can put on it

Three text zones: the arched top line (about 14 characters), the small “est / year” pair flanking the rackets, and the straight bottom line. All three are editable, and the bottom line is often a location instead of ACADEMY.

• Academy name, est., founding year — the layout as shown.
• Club name and city if the year is not the story.
• A squad and its season — “U16” and “2026”.
• A coach’s name on the bottom line, for staff caps that differ from members’.
• Another racket sport’s mark in place of the tennis rackets.

The cap

• 100% cotton gabardine — a heavy, close weave that holds its shape all day and gives the needle something firm to stitch into.
• Structured five-panel crown. The front stays flat, so lettering sits square instead of buckling the way it does on a soft cap.
• Curved visor with stitched detail along the brim and embroidered ventilation eyelets.
• Metal buckle back strap, adjustable. One size, unisex.
• 11 colors: White, Beige, Camel, Olive Green, Denim Blue, Royal Blue, Navy Blue, Grey, Burgundy, Red and Black.

Academy and squad runs

Academies order these in cohorts: a run at the start of each intake, coaching staff in a second color, and a small batch kept back for prizes. Because nothing is pre-stitched, a reorder next season with a different year costs the same as the first run. Bulk pricing starts at 50 pieces and every wholesale run gets a stitched sample first. Stitched, not printed

Every cap is embroidered to order on a commercial machine. The thread is laid into the twill, which is why the lettering catches light from the side and why it survives the wash — printed vinyl cracks and lifts after a season, embroidery does not. Raised 3D puff lettering is available on request for block text.

Nothing is stitched until you order, so there is no leftover stock and no compromise on what goes on the front. Production takes 1–5 business days and delivery 1–5 business days.

Looking after it

Hand wash in cool water and reshape while damp; a washing machine will flatten the crown and a dryer will shrink the twill. Never iron directly over the embroidery — press from the inside if you need to. Washed colors may release a little dye the first time, so wash them on their own to begin with and keep them away from anything pale.

Can we reorder next year with a new date?
Yes. Your artwork stays on file; changing the year is a text edit, not a new setup, and there is no re-digitising fee.

How long can the arched line be?
About 14 characters before the arch gets tight. Longer names work better split across the top and bottom lines.

Two colors of thread — does that cost more?
No. Multi-color embroidery is priced the same as single-color.

Do you stitch the back or the side too?
We can. Side-panel initials and a small mark on the back strap are both available — ask before ordering so we set it up properly.
